New mum Simone Rocha shares adorable snaps of baby daughter Valentine
Top Irish fashion designer Simone Rocha has shared adorable photographs of baby daughter Valentine on Instagram.
The London-based designer and her cinematographer partner, Eoin McLoughlin, welcomed daughter Valentine Ming McLoughlin on November 18.
Little Valentine is the first grandchild for Simone's famous designer father John Rocha.
The 29-year-old uploaded a photo where she's seen kissing Valentine's head and captioned it with a single love heart emoji.
Eoin, who recently worked on filming the Roy Keane short Rockmount, also uploaded a gorgeous snap of the their baby enjoying a bath to his Instagram feed.
In a recent interview with the Financial Times, Simone spoke about the importance of Hong Kong in her life – and probably inspired her newborn’s middle name.
‘We had been in Hong Kong at Easter during this amazing festival called Ching Ming, where everyone walks up the big hill and goes to visit their dead relatives.
‘I went to see my granny and grandad. Eoin captured the big building, and in the background there’s actually all the graves.’
Family hugely important to Simone and has spoke in the past about how fortunate she is to have her mum, Odette, working as her business manager after learning so much from her dad, both as a helpful teenager, eager student and fellow professional at London Fashion Week.
"We are super close, family is extremely important to me," the Saint Martins graduate has said.
The raven-haired Dubliner has made a huge stamp on the international scene with remarkable speed.
After being stocked at Dover Street Market, Browns, Colette in Paris, Bergdorf Goodman and 10 Corso Como in Milan, Seoul and Shanghai, she now has what she wanted, her own store in London's Mayfair - a building that talks to her clothes, and her customers.
She has also won a number of accolades, including the British Fashion Award for New Establishment Designer 2014.
Simone has been dressing everyone from Lady Gaga to Keira Knightley, Chloë Grace Moretz, to committed Irish fan, actress Saoirse Ronan.
Pop princess Rihanna chose Simone's white brocade jacket and matching pencil skirt with patent leather Mary Jane shoes in New York last March to promote her upcoming movie, Home.
IT girl Alexa chose Simone's sellout marabou feather-trimmed black satin duchess dress on a Nails Inc trip to Dublin and interview with Ryan Tubridy on The Late Late Show last November.
Simone has said she wants all kinds of women to be able to relate to her work, "their feminine side, playful side, boyish style".
