Nadia Forde says she hasn't heard from Rory McIlroy since leaving I'm A Celeb jungle
Irish model Nadia Forde says she hasn't heard from her rumoured ex love interest Rory McIlroy since leaving the I'm A Celebrity jungle.
The brunette beauty was voted out of the Australian jungle on Tuesday night and looked elated to be free from creepy crawlies and bushtucker trials.
And while her phone has been buzzing with well wishers, she revealed that she hasn't yet heard from her good friend, the world number one golfer.
"I speak to him regularly, but my phone hasn't been working properly in Australia. I'm still waiting for his messages to come through," she told the Irish Sun. The 25-year-old, who is focusing on her budding singing career, still insists there was never any romance between her and McIlroy, and said they've just socialised together.
"We are good friends and that's where it ends," she explained. "The thing is, when you're seen in Rory's company, people just pounce and they think that you're with him.
"We met through mutual friends on nights out. He's a lovely guy. I was friends with him before he won the Open, but he knows I'm useless with golf information."
Meanwhile, viewers watched as her friendship with X Factor's Jake Quickenden appeared to heat up in the jungle, but she says she thinks of him more as an older brother.
"Jake is such a sweetheart and is one of the strongest members in there," she told Ant and Dec in her post-eviction interview.
“He is like a brother. We love each other to bits but I don’t think there is a romance there. He is such a flirt, he flirts with everyone.”
