Nadia Forde: 'John Delaney and I no longer talk... it's hard to understand'
Speaking to the Sunday Independent Life magazine, Nadia replied "no" when asked if she was still in touch with the FAI Chief Executive.
The pair met during a 'Strictly Come Dancing for Soccer' fundraising event in late 2013 and a friendship blossomed.
"Honestly? I don't understand it," she told the publication about the recent lack of contact with Delaney (47).
"I'm telling you, I don't know. I haven't really spoken to him since he started dating his new girlfriend [Emma English]. He got with her so that was that," she said.
However, she is hoping their friendship can be renewed.
"I thought we were friends. So it's a bit strange, if not hurtful. But I'm always at the end of the phone if he wants to chat, like I always was before. It's hard to understand," she added.
In an interview with the 'Irish Sun' last July, Delaney explained he had taken the singer under his wing.
"I think I'm more like a father figure. I'm 46 years of age, she is in her early 20s," he said.
"She is somebody I have a lot of respect for. She's got a great career as a model. It looks like she is heading for a pretty good career in terms of her singing.
"I wish her well in that for sure. We're great friends."

Separately, Nadia (25) told the magazine she is single and is still trying to get over her "heartbreak".
"The only way I can describe it is that I have have had my heart broken and I have never really been the same since. It wasn't a guy. It was just circumstances. And I guess now I just close myself off to people and situations where I want to let anyone get close to me," she said.
Nadia was previously linked to golfer Rory McIlory after he split with Caroline Wozniacki last year. However, both insisted they were just friends. Before that she was in a long-term with Ireland and Leinster rugby player Luke Fitzgerald.
Nadia is currently living in Knightsbridge in London and is currently working on new tracks.
