'My sisters will marry before me', reveals model Roz Purcell
She may be committed to boyfriend Bressie, but model Roz Purcell plans to let her sisters take the step down the aisle before tying the knot herself.
The Tipperary native has been dating Voice of Ireland judge Niall 'Bressie' Breslin for just over two years, and the couple are known for their healthy lifestyles, often competing in triathlon and Ironman competitions.
However, when it comes to the topic of marriage, the model said that the pair want to focus on their careers before settling down permanently.
Instead the 24-year-old would like to see her two older siblings settle down, before tying the knot.
"I've two older sisters. One (Rebecca) is 32 and she has been with her boyfriend for 11 years, the other (Rachel) is 27 and she has been with her boyfriend for six years, so they need to do all that stuff first" Roz told the RTE Guide.
"And you know he (Bressie) is the same; he has siblings who are with their partners for years. We're both really into our careers, not in a bad way, but we want to establish something that we have independently," she added.
The couple spent Christmas apart from one another this year, with Bressie admitting to hating being away from home over the festive period.
Roz spent the holidays in Lanzarote - something which is becoming a tradition - at the Club La Santa with her two sisters.
Bressie meanwhile spent the Christmas period in less tropical climates, opting to stay in his native Mullingar.
Thinking long-term, Roz said that TV work may replace modelling as a career choice.
"I know it sounds stupid but I love being in front of the camera and talking. I think that's why I love reality TV, because you're just being yourself," she said.
