Missy Keating (13) puts school before burgeoning acting career
She has starred in a number of big budget movies and wants to be a full time actress, but Missy Keating knows that school work comes first.
The 13-year-old, who celebrated her birthday last month, has been widely praised for her efforts on screen, working alongside several big names in the business including James Nesbitt, Ciaran Hinds and Sinead Cusack.
And even though she wants to be a full time actress, the daughter of Boyzone singer Ronan and Yvonne Keating knows the importance of putting her grades first.
Whenever she's on the film set, the teenager's well-known parents enlist a tutor to make sure she keeps on top of her homework.
"Right now I'm just concentrating on my summer tests coming up, but I am doing a few odd auditions," Missy told the Herald.
"Whenever I'm not studying I'm looking for parts and stuff like that."

Even though she has plenty of experience under her belt, Missy looks up to fellow Irish star Saoirse Ronan for tips.
"I've always loved Saoirse, she's been a real role model for me," she added.
Missy's latest movie is The Sea, a silver screen adaptation of author John Banville's famous book.
Model mum Yvonne's boyfriend John Conroy was the director of photography on the shoot, which took place on location around Ireland. The film will be released in cinemas on April 18.
"We shot it a long time ago, so I'm looking forward to seeing it," she said.
Missy, who had her debut in horror flick Dark Touch at the age of 11, also has a credit in Irish-made feature Gold.
