Miriam O'Callaghan is no stranger to a good cause and the RTE star cut a fashionable figure as she stepped out on Saturday night to host the LauraLynn Heroes Ball.

The annual gala raised much-needed funds for the palliative care LauraLynn provides to children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Once again the turnout was strong, with models Brittany Mason and Emily McKeogh, broadcaster and publisher Norah Casey and TV3 producer Debbie O'Donnell on hand for the charitable event at the InterContinental Dublin hotel.

The black tie affair kicked-off with a drinks reception, followed by a three-course dinner, with live music by Perfect Day keeping guests on the dance floor until the early hours.

Host for the night Miriam was the belle of the ball, stepping out in a floor-length gown with a tulle skirt.

US model Brittany sported a racy look in a figure-hugging nude dress with sheer panelling and lace detail.
