Michael Fassbender makes fan's day with selfie on New Zealand ferry
Irish A-lister Michael Fassbender made one fan's day posing for a selfie - on a ferry in New Zealand.
The Oscar-nominated actor is currently in Marlborough as he films The Light Between Oceans, but has managed to evade the spotlight so far.
He was spotted taking a ferry from Wellington to Picton when eagle-eyed fan Andree Malpass spotted the superstar, who was happy to chat.
Fassbender, who is sporting quite the moustache for his new role, happily posed with Andree during his trip.
"Life is complete, met Michael Fassbender aka Mr Rochester [Jane Eyre] on the Wellington to Picton ferry!! #starstruck #michaelfassbender #newzealand," she posted on Instagram.
The film, which is set on a remote island off the coast of Western Australia, follows a lighthouse keeper and his wife, who decide to raise a baby as their own after finding it washed ashore on a boat.
He was recently linked to ex-girlfriend and X-Men co-star Zoe Kravitz, but rumours of a reconciliation have been quashed as she has now confirmed her on/off romance with Chris Pine is back on again.
