Michael Douglas feels like he “really lucked out” by marrying Catherine Zeta-Jones.
The 70-year-old actor has been married to the Welsh actress for almost 15 years. Despite taking some time apart in 2013, the couple were able to rebuild their relationship and are now more loved up than ever.
“I lucked out, I really lucked out,” he smiled when asked by Extra about his spouse.
Michael was joined by Catherine at The Actors Fund for Everyone in Entertainment event in New York on Monday. During their chat with the outlet, the couple were asked about whether they would ever work together on screen.
“If he wasn’t my husband, I’d like to work with Michael Douglas, it’s true, he’s a great actor,” Catherine laughed before Michael jumped in, “I would like to work with you any way I can get you, honey. It’s a good question, I’ve been wondering myself, you’re not playing hard to get now, it’s too late.”
While fans will have to wait and see if they do join forces on the big screen, the stars are enjoying the quality time they get to spend together with their two children, son Dylan, 14 and daughter Carys, 12. The family enjoyed Mother’s Day in America recently, and Catherine, 45, couldn’t help but gush about how special she had been made to feel.
“One of the best days I've had in many, many years, we were all together, I got spoiled rotten, I must be doing something right,” she smiled.
