Meghan Markle goes back to work with Suits cast - and 'is asked if she hoped to marry Harry'
Prince Harry's girlfriend Meghan Markle was back to work with the Suits cast on Sunday - though she stayed tight lipped about her royal partner.
The actress was attending the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas, where she participated in a script-reading of the original TV show pilot with her co-stars, followed by a panel discussion.
The event came three weeks after she accompanied Prince Harry to the wedding reception of Pippa Middleton, the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, and the 35-year-old American star was asked if she hoped to marry her royal boyfriend.
Miss Markle reportedly smiled but said nothing.
In another apparent reference to Harry, her co-star Rick Hoffman, joked that she should read part of the script in a British accent, drawing cheers from the audience and blushes from the actress, the Daily Mail reported.
During the discussion, Miss Markle described her cast mates as being like "family".
"We were in a group email the other day and I was saying we’d all lived in the same corporate housing so on top of working together we were living together which makes a whole different dynamic, I think. We just became this whole family right out the gate," she was quoted as saying.
She also described her character, paralegal Rachel Zane, as a "role model" because of her successful career. "I am so happy... she’s worked so hard and I love that, as a role model, how she’s been crafted to balance it all and now have this place at the firm where she really knows her standing and her office isn’t just because she’s a good researcher, it’s because she’s an associate. She’s really earned that spot."
Miss Markle missed the wedding ceremony of the society wedding of the year, but arrived at the evening festivities on the arm of her beau, dressed in a stunning maroon backless gown.
