There are few people who will understand each other more than Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton.

Both are uniquely positioned as 'normal', albeit wealthy, women who both married into the British royal family and have become internationally recognised in an instant. Middleton has been subject to intense scrutiny over the last 15 years, since she first met husband Prince William when they were both studying at St Andrew's University.

Meghan has been taken under Harry's team's wing since the early days of their two-year romance, being given security and guidance in the run-up to their engagement.

Despite their different backgrounds, Kate and Meghan are possibly the only two who truly understand what it's like to enter that world as an adult and are said to be helping each other where possible.

Meghan is famously healthy, practicing yoga daily, a habit she picked up from her mother Doria who is an instructor, and eating as healthily as possible, something she and Kate have in common.

"[Meghan] shares tips she’s read about healthy eating," a source told Us Weekly of Meghan's attempts to help during Kate's third pregnancy.

Prince William has also been doting on his wife as she approaches her due date in April.

"William does all he can to make sure she’s comfortable. He just wants her to feel supported," the source added.

In exchange for her help, Kate has reportedly been guiding Meghan in how to navigate royal engagements and adjust to royal life.

"Meghan may appear confident when on royal walkabouts, but she does have some pre-wedding butterflies – not about Harry, but about her new life," a source told the Mail on Sunday.

Similarly, it was reported last week that Meghan is struggling with the confines of her royal life behind the gates at Kensington Palace.

"KP [Kensington Palace] is beautiful, but when Meghan wakes up she has nowhere to go, really," the insider added.

"She can’t potter about on the High Street, attend gym classes, or jog around Hyde Park. Instead she is confined to yoga at home or visits to Kate and William in Apartment 1A."
