Meet Gerald Kean's girlfriend Natanya, part of well-known Irish-Italian family
Celebrity lawyer Gerald Kean has a new girlfriend, just months after he split from fiancée Lisa Murphy for good.
Gerald (59) is now dating glamorous Natanya Cafolla, the Herald can reveal.
The mum-of-four is from the famous Irish-Italian Cafolla family, whose relatives include socialite Cindy and DJ Ivano.
Gerald and Natanya have been dating for at least three months and she escorted him to two functions in recent weeks - the annual charity ball in Portlaoise in aid of Down syndrome and an event at Cork Constitution rugby club.
Natanya's property developer husband Joe (Giovanni) died of a heart attack in Florida in 2008.
She lives in Delgany, Co Wicklow, and is mother of four children who range in age from 13 to 31.
"Gerald and Natanya have been friends for over 20 years and Gerald was quite close to Joe," said a close friend.
"It has only been in the last three months that they've started seeing each other and are now quite smitten.
"Gerald lives in the 13-bedroom Drayton Manor near Brittas Bay, which is only a stone's throw from Delgany.
"After Lisa left, he basically had an empty house as his only child, Kirsten, is currently living and studying in Miami."
The Cafollas are well known on the Dublin social scene.
Socialite Cindy's ex-husband Ivano was a brother of Joe. Ivano Jnr (33) is a popular house DJ, while Cindy, who used to run a furniture business in the capital, now lives in Dubai.
The family are related to the famous Irish-Italian chip shop-owning Cafolla family, which has a string of cafes located across the country.
When asked about the relationship last night, Gerald declined to comment.
The 'lawyer to the stars' became the darling of the social pages when he was married to fellow lawyer Clodagh Hopkins, Kirsten's mother.
The couple split up in 2006 after 20 years of marriage and are now divorced.
Gerald began dating former model Lisa Murphy in 2006.
They met through mutual friends in the Ice Bar of the Four Seasons Hotel - now the InterContinental - in Ballsbridge, Dublin.
The couple got engaged in December 2009, with a Sotheby's diamond ring to mark the occasion.
