Four Hollywood heavyweights delighted fans by stopping to sign autographs outside the Merrion Hotel last night.
Mark Wahlberg, Mel Gibson, Will Ferrell and John Lithgow were snapped on their way to their hotel as they gear up for tonight's Daddy's Home 2 premiere at The Odeon cinema in Dublin.
Farrell and Wahlberg are frequent visitors to Ireland and both came to town in 2015 for the release of the first film. Wahlberg was also in Dublin promoting Contraband in 2012 while Ferrell, who has Irish ancestry, has been here many times and popped in with John C Reilly for Step Brothers in 2008.
Gibson, meanwhile, was here last year shooting The Professor and the Madman with Sean Penn. He also shot much of Braveheart here in 1994.
Daddy's Home 2, the follow up to the 2015 box office winner sees Ferrell and Wahlberg reprise their roles as father Dusty and stepfather Brad. This time they have to join forces to provide their kids with the perfect Christmas.
However, their partnership is put to the test when Dusty's old-school macho dad (Mel Gibson) and Brad's emotional dad (John Lithgow) arrive and throw their holiday into chaos.
The film, directed by Sean Anders, and also starring Linda Cardellini and John Cena releases on November 22.
