Actress Mandy Moore has revealed her mother and two brothers are gay in a new interview.
The former pop star, who is currently starring in hit US drama This Is Us, says she grew up with a "seemingly traditional" family, which changed as she and her two brothers grew into adulthood.
Their parents divorced when her mother Stacy left her father for another woman and both brothers came out as gay.
"I’ve never really talked about this, but my parents are divorced. My mother left my father for a woman. And both of my two brothers are gay," she told Byrdie.
"My parents loved each other, they did an incredible job raising all of us...Everyone’s so much happier, richer, and more fulfilled, being their authentic selves."
Moore says that she was seeking her "own kind of normalcy" when she married singer Ryan Adams when she was just 24 in 2009. The couple split in 2015 and their divorce was finalised earlier this year.
"Then I learned that that wasn’t going to be the fruitful experience I wanted it to be," she added.
