Madonna's jury service sick note
Madonna has ducked out of jury service by sending in a sick note from her doctor.
The superstar was due to report for jury service in New York at Manhattan's Supreme Court, but said she was too ill, according to Metro.
But the singer had apparently just enjoyed an action-packed weekend, having photos of herself online which showed her riding a horse and playing with her children on a beach.
The 55-year-old singer submitted her doctor's note when she failed to turn up at court.
New York county clerk Norman Goodman revealed the Papa Don't Preach singer had sent her apologies and offered to be part of a jury at a later date when she was feeling better.
In 2008, Madonna was summoned to serve on a jury in Beverly Hills, where she waited to be called for four hours and was eventually dismissed.
