Madonna granted permission to adopt twin girls in Malawi
Madonna has adopted twin girls in Malawi, it has been reported.
The 58-year-old singer has reportedly adopted Esther and Stella Mwale in the same country where she adopted son David Banda in 2006 and daughter Mercy James (both 11) in 2009.
She has two biological children Lourdes (20) from her relationship with Carlos Leon and Rocco (16) from her marriage to ex-husband Guy Ritchie.
Before she left for Malawi, it was rumoured she would be adopting in the country, but she denied the reports saying she was in Africa on a charity trip.
However, new documents show she has been legally granted permission to take the two girls home.
A spokesperson for Malawi's judiciary told the Mail Online that the superstar's petition to adopt was accepted.
"Today the High Court made a ruling that she should go ahead and adopt the two children," Mlenga Mvula said.
Within a year she should provide us with a home survey report which the court has ordered her to provide."
Madonna founded the Raising Malawi charity which provides health and education to young women in the country.
