The IFTA-winning actress (40) is in a new relationship with fillmmaker Alistair Ramsden and has been quick to share happiness with the world on social media. Smurfit confirmed last February she and husband of 15 years Doug Baxter would be divorcing.
The pair moved from Dublin to Los Angeles in 2014 and have three children together - Evie Dorothy (10), Ridley Belle (seven) and Flynn Alexander (six).
The former Ballykissangel star has been enjoying television success in the US after landing a role on ABC's Once Upon A Time as Cruella De Vil and met her new beau on the set of Bait, a film which she produced.

They went public with their romance last October and attended an exclusive Golden Globes after-party together last month and are regularly sharing loved-up snaps of each other on Instagram.
The notoriously private actress said she would only discuss the breakdown of her marriage once, last year, describing how therapeutic it felt playing the Disney villain on the small screen.
I'm a big believer in always trying to find a silver lining. It doesn't matter what. In the case of this part, to go dark and evil, particularly at this difficult time in my life, was like going down the rabbit hole," she told the Irish Independent's Weekend Magazine.

"It was really nice to disappear into the funny, to find the funny out of the black. To be able to go to that dark, angry, twisty, yet comic place was just heaven. It was really nice to plumb those depths and at times to go maniacal. I really went maniacal and you don't get to do that every day - you don't get to be that in real life or on that many shows. I got to be ugly."
