Liam Gallagher told Nicole Appleton of affair via telephone when she was on holiday in 2013
A judge has granted a divorce to Nicole Appleton and Liam Gallagher with the former lovers splitting his £15m fortune.
Should Liam (43) earn a "substantially higher income" via music in the future then the figure can be reviewed.
The reason for their split in 2013 was th Wonderwall singer's affair with US journalist Liza Ghorbani which resulted in baby Gemma, now two.
Gallagher had told Appleton (41) about the relationship "only when publicity was going to occur", said Judge Martin O'Dwyer.
The judge has given detail of the relationship in a ruling after Gallagher and Appleton became embroiled in a dispute over money following the break down of their marriage.
He did not identify the other woman involved.
"It was only when publicity was going to occur in April 2013 when Mr Gallagher told his wife," said the judge.
"The circumstances were extremely unfortunate.
"The wife was away on holiday and she was informed by telephone by (Gallagher)."
He added: "This unsurprisingly marked the end of the relationship between (Gallagher and Appleton)."
The judge said Appleton had been "greatly distressed".
At the time of his 2013 confession he was also in another relationship with his current girlfriend Debbie Gwyther.
Nicole and Liam have a teenage son Gene together. They met in 2000 and had their son the following year. They married in 2008.
