Laura Whitmore insists she's Strictly friends with Ore Oduba after going hand-in-hand at the Baftas
Laura Whitmore made the most of the Bafta celebrations in London, continuing on the fun afterwards with some pals.
The Bray-born presenter (31) was pictured looking stunning in a multi-coloured gown from Safiyaa for the glitzy awards ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall as she enjoyed a night out with some of the industry’s biggest names.
Laura, who recently dipped her toes in the acting world, was snapped entering the Mondrian hotel for the after-party with fellow Strictly Come Dancing contestant and last year’s winner Ore Oduba, who is married to Portia.
At one point they clasped hands as they walked into the foyer of the hotel, and Laura later paid tribute on social media to her good friend, who survived the dance-off on the night she was eliminated.
“This day one year ago, I met this guy and now I have a friend ... and dance buddy for life. Love ya xx,” Laura wrote.
Repaying the compliment, sports presenter Ore (31) responded by saying: “I’ll be there to hold your hand for many years to come.
“That’s what friends are for. Happy anniversary.”
Laura added on her Instagram how she had a “wonderful evening” and congratulated all the nominees and winners.
The star-studded show was hosted by former Bake Off star Sue Perkins as she filled in for usual presenter Graham Norton.
The Cork star was busy doing the commentary for the BBC’s coverage of the Eurovision from Kiev.
