Footballer Frank Lampard starred in his own 'Match of the Day' as he tied the knot with his Irish fiancee Christine Bleakley in a star-studded ceremony.

The happy couple returned to London for the nuptials after they moved to New York in May when the former Chelsea star swapped the Premier League to play in the MLS with New York City FC.

TV star Bleakley, from Newtownards, Co Down, was joined by friends from the world of entertainment and sport, including her former 'This Morning' co-presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Lampard's former team-mates John Terry and Petr Cech and cousin Jamie Redknapp also attended.

The bride, who hosted BBC's 'The One Show' before switching to ITV, wore a low-cut white lace gown and veil for the ceremony, held at St Paul's Church in Knightsbridge.

She previously worked on the travel documentary 'Wild Ireland', where she travelled along the Wild Atlantic Way.

The pair, who have been engaged for four years, smiled for photographers as they left the wedding venue for the reception.
