Kylie Minogue's ex Joshua Sasse was married when the pair began their relationship
British actor Joshua Sasse was still married when he began his two-year relationship with Kylie Minogue, it has emerged.
The 29-year-old actor, who split from Kylie last month over rumours of his infidelity, was still wearing his wedding ring when he met Kylie on the set of TV show Galavant in 2015.
According to The Sun, Sasse regularly talked about his wife and mother of his three-year-old son, Francesca Cini, on set and crew members were surprised when he and Kylie became an item.
A source said: "No one could believe it when Kylie and Joshua got together because it was widely known that he was married.
"He talked about his wife and child all the time and he wore his wedding ring on the set.
"The ring only disappeared when his and Kylie's relationship became serious enough for the pair of them to appear together in public. In the end people seemed to turn a blind eye to that.
"But at the time it was a real surprise - especially as Kylie had insisted in the past that she'd never get involved with a married man.
"Perhaps if she had stuck to that then she wouldn't have ended up getting hurt," the source said.
Kylie (48) announced her split from the actor earlier this week following allegations of his infidelity, ending their engagement.
The singer took to Instagram to confirm the break-up on Friday.
"Josh and I have decided to go our separate ways. We wish only the best for each other as we venture towards new horizons," she said.
The couple had not yet set a wedding date and she said recently she was "happy enjoying being engaged."
"She is absolutely devastated, totally heartbroken. She really believed he was The One. But she no longer trusts him," an insider told The Sun, which was first to announce their surprise engagement.
In November, the Spinning Around songstress revealed she would be taking her husband-to-be's name after their nuptials.
"Sasse is a great name. Kylie Sasse is a great name. It’s a great stage name. Kylie Minogue has never exactly tripped off the tongue," she told YOU magazine.
"I’ll definitely be taking Sasse but there will be Minogue in there somewhere. Taking a different name makes a statement.
"Nobody wants to be Mr Minogue. It takes a very strong man to put themselves in that position and I fully appreciate that.
"The world around you sees it differently and a lot of guys can’t deal with that. When I look into Josh’s eyes, he is all I see and that makes me very happy.
"There’s a line in the movie Notting Hill that I always think of, when Julia Roberts is talking to Hugh Grant, and she says, "I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her." For me, it’s that simple."
