Kim Kardashian isn't 'doing so good' as pal Karl Lagerfeld says 'she cannot display her wealth and be surprised when she's robbed'
Legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld said his friend Kim Kardashian "cannot display her wealth".
The creative director of Chanel and Fendi, who regularly features her little sister Kendall Jenner in fashion shows and campaigns, said he was shocked that Kardashian had no security present at the time of the €9m robbery.
The reality tv star (35), who was in Paris for Fashion Week, was reportedly dragged from her bed in the early hours of Monday morning by five armed men dressed as police officers.
She is believed to have been handcuffed with cable ties in the bathtub of her bedroom and gagged.
"I don't understand why she was in a hotel with no security. If you're that famous and you put all your jewellery on the internet then you go to a hotel where nobody can come near to the room," Karl said.
"You cannot display your wealth and then be surprised that some people want to share it with you."

The mother-of-two is famous for giving an all access pass to her incredible fortune, particularly on Instagram and Snapchat.
Her best friend Jonathan Cheban told DailyMail.com she is "not doing so good" after the robbery, where she was held up by gunpoint and tied up with cable ties in her bathroom while the burglars raided her room.
Kardashian was staying at a private property she frequents during her visits to Paris, while her husband Kanye West was performing in New York, her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner and mother Kris Jenner were all staying at a separate hotel.
Her bodyguard was with Kourtney and Kendall as they partied the night away after the Givenchy show on Sunday. Her children North (three) and Saint (nine months) were in New York at the time.
The private residence has no CCTV cameras in its internal courtyard and there is no footage of the burglars faces while entering or leaving the building, where they sped off on bicycles.
"When the incident happened, [Kim] was half asleep and was woken up so abruptly. She was on little sleep to begin with since getting to Paris. She still hasn’t fully been able to comprehend what happened," a source told Entertainment Tonight.
