Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have decided to go all out with the name for their new baby boy, according to reports.

The 34-year-old reality star is currently expecting the couple’s second child, confirming it's a boy in June.

The pair are already parents to daughter North West, two, and it has been reported that they have chosen a direction-based name for their son too.

“Easton is the chosen name. It's confirmed that the baby boy will be called Easton,” a source close to the family confirmed to the MailOnline. “Kourtney told a few girls at a Hidden Hills pool party last weekend that Kanye's favourite name by far is Easton, a name Kim wasn't hot on at first because Kanye liked simply East but Kim came up with Easton and, for them, history was made.”

Kim previously scoffed at reports that they would choose another compass point as a moniker for their baby. During an interview with Shaquille O'Neal on his podcast she claimed that North was the best direction and there was no point trying to pick another.

But it seems the couple have incorporated a direction into their child’s name after all so they can start building their son’s wardrobe as soon as possible.

“No doubt monogrammed baby bibs are being hand-sewn as we speak,” the friend added. “[Kourtney’s eldest son] Mason is already calling his auntie's tummy Easton.”

Kim discussed the subject of baby names when host Mike Pesca of NPR's news quiz show, Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me! came up with a few suggestions. He told the star that the word for south in Sudanese is Kadoul while east in Swahili is Kati and Kallet in Hungarian.

“You'd be surprised at all of the names people do send us,” she laughed.
