Katy Perry says children are becoming 'a big focus' for her
Pop star Katy Perry has revealed that children are becoming "a big focus" for her.
Perry (31) has been in a relationship with Orlando Bloom (39) for almost a year, and dropped a major hint about what might be next on the cards for the couple at a red carpet event in Los Angeles on Sunday.
"Children to me are becoming a big focus. I don't even have mine but I see it in my sister's kids and just how much nurturing and love they need..." she told E! News at the event.
The Roar singer recently helped deliver her sister's second baby, and it seems that the experience has had a lasting impact.
"I see the amazing thing of birth and children and the vulnerability and we just have to take care of them and how, how big of an impression we have. We have such a responsibility!"
A source told E! that Perry and Bloom are "in love and happier than ever" and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor hopes to pop the question "before the year is up."
In a 2011 interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Perry admitted that she wants to get married and have children.
"I would love to have children. I think that's one of the reasons you get married," she said.
"Especially to the person that you marry. You think, that person is going to be a good partner, a good parent."
