Kathryn Thomas reveals family plans: 'We would love to have kids if we are blessed'

RTE star Kathryn Thomas has opened up about her desire to start a family.
The Voice of Ireland presenter (36) has been dating restaurateur Padraig McLaughlin for nearly two years and things are cleanly moving from strength to strength for the pair.
Thomas spoke of her family plans, saying she didn't grow up dreaming of a big white wedding and would likely opt for a non-traditional route if she ever decides to wed.
“It’s funny – I’ve never been the girl that dreams of the big white dress, but I’d never say never," she told Irish Tatler.

"I’m really happy. And I’d love to have kids, we would love to have kids, if we’re blessed, if we are lucky..It has to feel right, it has to be the right time and there’s a lot to consider when you’re thinking about a family. At the same time, we’re in a great place”.
And she's grown more confident as her career continues to soar, nabbing two of the most coveted hosting gigs on our screens with The Voice and Operation Transformation.
“I don’t give as much of a sh*t basically," she added to the magazine. "When you’re happy, I think you become more accepting of yourself, you don’t give yourself as much of a hard time as you did, say, in your twenties when you were more insecure….I look back now and go, God, I used to give that so much thought and energy, when I didn’t need to”.
