Kanye West rushed to hospital

Kanye West was reportedly rushed to the hospital Wednesday.

The rapper was wheeled into the back entrance of Epworth Hospital (below) in Richmond, South Australia at approximately 2 p.m., according to Woman’s Day Australia.

Sources told the outlet he was escorted by a throng of security personnel.

“My daughter was having an MRI. Shortly after it began, security burst in and cleared the area,” eyewitness Loraine Terry said.

The woman and her daughter were unable to leave until their procedure was finished, however, apparently allowing her to see what was unfolding as doctors rushed to the rapper.

“Next thing we knew, Kanye was stretchered in surrounded by security. He had one side of his face covered with something white. We both knew it was him because we had seen his photo in the paper everyday and we were shocked because it looked so serious. Everyone was massively panicked,” she added.

RadarOnline reports Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, was not seen during the visit.

According to the website, Kanye left the hospital two-and-a-half hours later and had recovered enough to perform in Melbourne that evening.

When asked if Kanye had attended the hospital she said: "We do not discuss or talk publicly about our patients without their approval."

Despite his scare, Kanye later performed to a packed crowed at Rod Laver Arena following his release from hospital sometime after 4.30pm.

Kanye's record label had no comment about his hospital stay, but said his shows will continue as scheduled.
