Jodi Albert's 'beautiful mummy' passes away after brave battle with cancer
Jodi Albert has paid tribute to her beloved mother Eileen who died last night after a long battle with cancer.
The 31-year-old actress and singer paid a touching tribute to her "beautiful little mummy" after she passed away, the Irish Mirror reports.
"My beautiful little mummy passed away peacefully with her adoring family around her at 10:30pm after an 8 year battle with cancer," the pregnant mother-of-one said.
"She fought hard and her strength was inspiring right until the end."
"I will miss her forever and will do my best to be the loving selfless amazing mother to my children as she was to me."
Eileen was first diagnosed with cancer in 2009 and her cancer was in remission before she was diagnosed again.
Jodi's husband Kian Egan lost his father Kevin - who was too ill to attend their Barbados wedding in 2009 - in 2010.
The former Westlife singer and actress have been married for eleven years and have two children together.
The former Hollyoaks star, who suffered from postnatal depression after the birth of her son Koa in 2011, is set to release a book 'The Furry Door' on the illness to encourage other sufferers to seek help.
