Jodi Albert says moving to Ireland is 'positive' after her mother's death
Jodi Albert has opened up about moving to Ireland full-time with husband Kian Egan and their two children.
The former Hollyoaks actress (32) is now based in Kian's native Sligo with sons Koa (three) and Zekey (five months) and said that all her decisions are based on what's best for her family.
Her mother Eileen passed away in March after a lengthy battle with cancer, which Jodi said impacted
"We're going to ground ourselves here and do more work from Ireland," she told the Irish Sun.
"For me, it was a positive decision in a sad situation. My home was always England but since losing my mum, now it's about what's good for my family.
"We've living on the west coast - the boys can be on the beach every day if they want. It's so beautiful there and I think it was a nice decision to come to."
Albert, who has been married to Egan for eight years, said her youngest son's birth helped her cope with the loss of her mother.
"It absolutely breaks my heart that [mum] will never meet him, so the fact he was born on her birthday is extra special as it means she's a part of him," she said previously.
She added that they couldn't believe how much he looks like her mum. "We both cried our eyes out as we couldn't believe what a miracle it was. I mean, Koa was blonde and blue eyed," she said.
