According to her goddaughter Tracie Hotchner, Rivers had clearly outlined how her fortune would be divided after her passing.

The tv host had amassed a fortune of $150 million (€115 million), thanks to her plush New York City apartment and a large yearly income from shopping channel QVC.

In her will, Joan outlines that everything should go to daughter Melissa, a producer, and Melissa’s son Cooper.

However, Joan’s two rescue dogs Samantha and Teegan, and her Jack Russell Terrier and Border Collie will also benefit, with Tracie stating that "clear provisions" have been made for her beloved pets.

According to Hollywood Life, Joan’s beloved pets were by her side in hospital while she remained in a coma.

The Brooklyn-born comedienne told The Wall Street Journal in February that she was the “Angelina Jolie of barkers.”

It was revealed earlier this week that the outspoken Fashion Police host sold over $1 billion of merchandise for QVC during her 24-year tenure at the shopping channel.
