Jennifer Aniston's wedding guests 'thought they were turning up for a summer party'
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux reportedly want nothing more than a “quiet” existence.
The Hollywood couple recently tied the knot in private after becoming engaged in 2012.
The nuptials were secret and came as a huge surprise to fans in addition to some of the people in Jennifer and Justin’s inner circle, as guests turned up thinking they were invited to a summer party, not a wedding.
It’s claimed moving forward the spouses have concocted a plan to keep their private life out of the spotlight for good.
“They both planned this for months,” a source told UK newspaper The Mirror of the wedding day, which took place at their Bel Air home on Wednesday August 5. “They are big-name Hollywood stars but more than anything all they wanted was complete privacy and a romantic, intimate wedding day.
“On return from honeymoon they also don’t want anything to change. As much as is possible, they want to go about their lives quietly and together.”
Jennifer and Justin are currently enjoying their honeymoon in Bora Bora with friends Chelsea Handler, Courteney Cox and Jason Bateman, People magazine reported.
Jennifer has been married before to Brad Pitt and the former Friends star previously admitted splitting from him in 2005 after five years of marriage was one of the most painful experiences of her entire life.
Since her divorce from Brad, Jennifer has been depicted in the media as the aging maiden who always seems to get trapped in failed relationships.
But apparently she is convinced everything is perfect with Justin because they have made it a point to cultivate authenticity in their relationship.
“It hasn’t all been hearts and flowers but after surviving a rocky patch a couple of years ago they are now stronger and happier than ever,” the insider explained. “Jennifer is sure Justin is her One – not just her One for now.”
