Jenner: I wanted the spotlight
Kendall Jenner has admitted she doesn't want half-sister Kim Kardashian stealing her limelight at her fashion shows.
The model made a name for herself last autumn at Marc Jacob's catwalk show.
She told Allure magazine that she had asked her sisters to stay away.
"I didn't need it to be a family affair," the 19-year-old said.
"As selfish as this sounds, I wanted the attention to be on me for five seconds rather than my family."
Kendall added: "If they were sitting front row, it would have been all about, 'Oh, Kim goes to Kendall's first fashion show!' I love Kim, but for a minute I wanted it to be like, 'OK, this is [Kendall's] thing - she's taking it seriously'."
The model posed in swimsuits with a capuchin monkey, which played Ross's pet, Marcel, in Friends, for the magazine's March issue.
And she said that growing up on TV wasn't such a bad thing.
"[My sister] Kylie and I had to grow up in front of people, and it was hard sometimes... but it was never a negative thing," she said.
Kendall said that she finds making eye contact with people difficult, but that being on camera gave her confidence. And she has no tattoos, saying: "I have a really weird thing about 'forever'. And my sister Kim always said, 'Don't put a bumper sticker on a Bentley'."
