Two of Ireland's most famous socialites proved their style icon status
Jane Given, who was married to Irish footballer Shay for 12 years before splitting in 2013, turned heads in a grey fitted Victoria Beckham dress at the launch of the Dubai Duty Free Derby at the Marker Hotel last night.
She was joined by her good pal Annette, who opted for a more colourful creation in a bold blue number with a burnt orange clutch and complementary headpiece.
The Derby is often hailed as Ireland's answer to Royal Ascot and this year will see tv Amanda Byram presenter leading the charge of best dressed women vying for the Most Stylish Lady title on Saturday, June 27 during 'Derby Day' at The Curragh Racecourse.
This year's prize is valued at an estimated €20,000, featuring goodies from Dubai Duty Free, Boodles and The Marker Hotel.
Last night's VIP launch also saw Irish Independent Fashion Editor Bairbre Power, stylist Cathy O'Connor, former Miss Ireland Aoife Walsh and style queen Celia Holman Lee don their finest headpieces to get in the racing spirit.
'IN MEMORY," wrote Tennessee Williams, "everything seems to happen to music." So it proved for my happy, if slightly melancholic, memories of Celia Holman Lee's 50th birthday party in Adare Manor in late November, 2000.
