Is the Duchess having a girl? Kate Middleton 'spotted buying pink baby clothes'
It looks like a new princess might be about to join the royal family.
As Kate Middleton's due date approaches next month, rumours have been circulating about the sex of the baby - from old wives' tales talking of her shape to 'insider knowledge'.
But an eyewitness has provided the most compelling evidence yet - Kate's shopping habits.
According to People, the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted perusing the girls section of children's boutique Amaia, adding to the speculation that she will be welcoming a baby girl.
The store's co-owner Segolene Tresca said: "She was looking at all the girls' clothing. She was very interested."
The royal couple have said they don't know the gender of the baby, preferring to keep it a surprise for her late April due date.
However, Prince William's father Prince Charles has said he hopes they welcome a baby girl as a little sister to Prince George.
"I hope it will be a girl this time," he said soon after Kate's second pregnancy was confirmed.
Kate (33) is wrapping up her final duties before she begins her leave next week to prepare for the baby's arrival.
Yesterday, she visited the set of Downton Abbey, where she met the cast and crew of her favourite drama.
She will be attending a St Patrick's Day event next Tuesday, which is believed to be her last engagement until the royal family introduces the second child to the world next month.
