Irish reality TV star Jeremy McConnell slams ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis over claims he is the father of her unborn son
Irish reality star Jeremy McConnell has slammed his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis over claims that he is the father of her unborn son.
The former Mr Ireland contestant (26) and the Hollyoaks actress (23) met in the Celebrity Big Brother house in January. They quickly fell for each other, despite the fact that Stephanie was dating model Sam Reece at the time.
The couple dated for several weeks following their exit from the Channel 5 reality show and made countless headlines with their antics on social media, splitting and reuniting several times.
The pair have since called it quits, but now Stephanie has said that the Dubliner is the one who got her pregnant.
However, McConnell has now claimed he knows for a fact he is not the father.
"Look, if she is pregnant it's not my kid," he told TV Now magazine. "We had been broken up."
The former Beauty School Cop Outs star said that he would be a great father to his future children, but was adamant that Stephanie's claims are not true.
"If I was a dad, I'd be 100pc no, 110pc, the best dad in the world," he said.
"But you'll see in the future that it's not my kid, and she'll look like a mug."
Despite McConnell's claims, Stephanie has insisted he is the father of her baby and she will raise it alone.
"My pregnancy was a shock, but I can't wait to be a mum," she previously told OK! Magazine.
"I hope that Jeremy will want to be a part of this baby's life.
"If he decides not to, then I am prepared to raise our baby on my own," she said.
McConnell caused a stir recently when he was spotted cosying up to a mystery blonde during a club appearance in Britain.
The TV star shared pictures of himself with the unknown woman on social meda, but insisted they were just friends and captioned the photograph "buds".
