Irish model turned actress Caitriona Balfe is on the fast track to A-list status.
The Monaghan native is a retired supermodel, who was arguably Ireland's most successful catwalk export, before hanging up her high heels for television.
And after landing the lead role on cult series Outlander, her star continues to soar.
After partying at the People's Choice Awards last week and the Golden Globes on Sunday night, she mingled with some of Hollywood's most famous faces in television at Elle's Annual Women in Television Celebration.
TV host Cat Deeley, Girls star Lena Dunham, Jenna Dewan-Taytum, Jaime King, Julie Bowen and Amanda Peet were some of the celebrities in attendance at the invite only event at Sunset Tower.
Balfe has recently revealed the die-hard fans of the Outlander book series are on par with tw0hards.
Fans of the romantic novel series expressed their delight at Balfe's casting as heroine Claire Beauchamp, a WWII British Army nurse who time-travels back to the Scottish highlands in the 18th century, where she lands in the middle of a battle zone and falls for a clansman warrior, played by newcomer Sam Heughan.
"I didn't realise how many books had sold and how die-hard the fans were. It's amazing that everyone was so welcoming when I got the job.
"And the story is captivating. It's leading up to the war between the Highlanders and the British Redcoats but seen through the eyes of a modern woman."
