Introducing rugby player Jordi Murphy's childhood sweetheart and model girlfriend, Laura Finnegan
Leinster and Ireland rugby star Jordi Murphy and his model girlfriend are the latest couple to take the social scene by storm.
Flanker Jordi Murphy and brunette beauty Laura Finnegan stepped out for Thursday night's opening of the new H&M flagship store in Dublin’s College Green, marking their debut on the capital's social scene.
Jordi and Laura (both 23) have been on and off since they were 16 years old, having met through mutual friends in their native Monkstown. The couple split briefly in before reuniting earlier this year and are more loved-up than ever.
"Jordi and Laura have been rock solid over the last few months," an insider said. "They're very supportive of each other's careers. They both still live at home so they're taking it slow, but looking forward to spending Christmas together."
Last night marked only second official public appearance together as a couple as they happily posed for photographers at the VIP event, which saw a host of stars flock to the store.
In May, the genetically blessed pair attended the Leinster Ball together and Jordi looked proud as punch with his beautiful girlfriend, who models with Assets on his arm. As teenagers, the pair were together for over four years, as Jordi's profile as a rugby player with Blackrock College saw him recruited for a spot on the Leinster squad.
The glamorous couple both have their feet firmly on the ground as they're both studying at University College Dublin, where Laura is working towards a chemical engineering degree and Jordi is studying business.
It's not all work and no play for the pair as they enjoyed a romantic holiday to the Greek island of Mykonos and attended Irish music festivals over the summer, while also finding time for a weekend trip to Barcelona last month.
Spanish born Jordi relocated to Dublin at the age of nine. He has been playing for Leinster since 2011 and made his Ireland debut this year.
