Imelda May enjoying 'early days' of romance with new mystery French beau
Imelda May has reportedly found love again.
The rockabilly singer (41) announced her split with husband of 13 years Darrell Higham in July and the two have maintained a low profile since then.
The mother-of-one is moving on though and said to be enjoying a new romance with a mystery French man, but don't expect to see them on the red carpet anytime soon.
"It's very early days and Imelda wants to go slowly before stepping out into the spotlight with her new man. But she's very happy," an insider told The Irish Sun.
She has been spending more time there in France recent months.
In July, Imelda announced her marriage break-up in a statement on Facebook, saying: "As you can imagine we are very sad but happy we're making the right decision for us and our daughter who is doing really well by the way," the rockabilly musician wrote.
Liberties-native Imelda has one daughter, Violet, with her husband, whom she married in 2002.
She said that although it was "weird to have your life as gossip", the "papers are running with it soon".
According to May, "my husband and I have the deepest love and respect for each other and are doing well".
"As you know I hate to air my laundry in public and never do but thought I should put something on here to dispel any bad rumours. I wish you and yours much love," she added.
