Celebrity chef Catherine Fulvio made her Daytime Emmys debut with aplomb in a carefully selected all Irish designed ensemble.
Fulvio was nominated in the Outstanding Culindary Host category for her six-part TV series A Taste of Ireland, which was filmed in and around her Ballyknocken House and Cookery School in Co Wicklow. Although she lost out on the statue, she proudly shared a number of behind the scenes images from the event in Los Angeles, which celebrates the best of daytime television in the US.
It was fitting that she chose to fly the Irish fashion flag in a full length red gown by Aideen Bodkin, who regularly dresses her for public events, with jewellery by Blaithin Ennis, who exclusively designed her accessories for the event, which will later be introduced into her Spring/Summer '19 collection.
Bodkin said she had "great fun" working with such a talented team of designers, who worked together to put together an elegant look fitting of a Hollywood red carpet.
"It’s been an absolute pleasure working on this exciting project the last few weeks," Ennis wrote on Instagram. "An amazing opportunity getting to work alongside many talented women excelling in their individual practices."
Ale Walsh is best known for her structured woven clutches and she especially created one of her Perla designs with a red and orange gradient effect.
Catherine was accompanied by her 16-year-old daughter Charlotte, dressed in a high neck black gown with gold foil detail, said she enjoyed every second of the event before hot-footing it on a plane back to Ireland the next day.
"What an absolutely phenomenal experience @daytimeemmys," she wrote on social media. "I’ve about two million photos but to be honest, the experience is so engrained [sic] in my memory, that I’ll never forget it.
"And I was honoured to work with three hugely talented #irishdesigners making me feel amazing on the day."
She previously told the Irish Independent: "It is an honour to be representing Ireland, Irish food and drink and Irish fashion at this prestigious event".
