Singer Liam Payne has opened up about how being a dad has changed his experience of being on his music tours.

Payne, who is promoting his new single Bedroom Floor, told the Irish Sun today that his seven-month-old son Bear is a “mini-me”.

“He’s a proper little character now, bless him, and he’s a mini-me.”

“I get back and he’s roaming around in his roamer.”

Payne says he is finding it increasingly difficult to leave his son for extended periods.

“I say to Cheryl, ‘You see it every day, but you wouldn’t believe the changes in him, when I come home.”

“I was holding his little hand and I wanted to cry a little bit. It was really tough.”

This week, Cheryl opened up about her difficult pregnancy, saying she "hated" the experience.

While the former Girls Aloud singer (34) said that she adores motherhood - and her baby son Bear has "given her the best six months of her life" - she "didn't enjoy" her pregnancy.

"A lot of stuff went on and I just didn’t enjoy it," she told The Sun. "It changes your life completely but in the most amazing way. But I’ve had the best six months of my life. Really."
