‘I got a bit of a slagging for the costumes’ – Aidan O’Mahony on life after Dancing with the Stars
Dancing With The Stars champion Aidan O’Mahony has said that he is grateful to have returned to “normality” since his time on the competition.
Speaking at the Peter Mark VIP Style Awards 2017 at The Marker Hotel, new dad Aidan said he was thankful to be wearing a three piece suit, and not one of his glitzy outfits from the show.
“It’s great that I can actually wear a three-piece suit now and the clothes aren’t see through anymore. It’s great being fully clothed every week and going back to work,” said Aidan, wearing a dapper powder blue suit from Suits Select in Tralee.
“I was going to wear the leopard skin outfit I wore one week, but I think if I rocked up here on the red carpet in it I don’t think I’d do it too much of a favour.”
Former DWTS rival Dayl Cronin, who took home the award for Man of Style, was Aidan’s date for the night, as his wife Denise was at home with baby Lucia.
“Myself and Dayl came as a date tonight. My wife is at home minding baby Lucia.
“Lucia loves her sleeping during the day and being awake at night. She’s six weeks old now, the time is flying.”
Since finishing the dance competition, the Kerry All-Star said “it’s great to be back to a bit of normality.”
“I got a bit of a slagging for the costumes I wore in the first couple of weeks, but it’s been good going back to work and back to normality.”
