Reports have emerged as to how Bruce Jenner explained to his famous family he would be transitioning into a woman.
The 65-year-old athlete called his daughters with Kris Jenner into the living room of their mansion, in front of the cameras, to explain the situation, according to Us Weekly.
The magazine reports that the Olympian was "matter of fact" when discussing the sensitive subject for Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie, in a scene that's been recorded for the family's E! reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, in addition to his spin-off series documenting his transition.
"He literally started the conversation with, 'Hey, guys, I'm becoming a woman, but I'm sure you probably already figured that out'," an insider said.
"There was so much speculation, and they were all wondering about the truth," the source added. "Bruce had to address it with them."
"He got a little emotional, but it wasn't a jaw-dropping conversation. It's a surprise to the girls that he's doing this at 65."
It's believed the episode featuring the family chat, will air in the US on March 15.
As for teenagers Kendall and Kylie's thoughts, the source said: "They want nothing more than for their dad to enjoy the life he wants to live."
