A heavily pregnant Chelsea Clinton looked positively glowing as she spoke at an awards ceremony in New York at the weekend.

The daughter of former US President Bill Clinton and the former US Secretary of State Hillary was glowing as she spoke onstage.

The Clinton Global Citizen Awards honour those who've exemplified global leadership in various causes.

Chelsea announced that she was pregnant with her investment banker husband Marc Mezvinsky in April. It is the couple's first child.

Chelsea (34) married Marc, an investment banker, in 2010. She is expected to give birth very soon.

Her father Bill revealed in a television interview that he hopes he'll have become a grandfather by the end of the month.

'I hope by the 1st of October, I'll be a grandfather.'

Clinton also revealed that the family had chose not to find out if Chelsea was expecting a girl or a boy.

Chelsea announced her pregnancy during a Clinton Foundation event dedicated to empowering young women.

"Marc and I are very excited that we have our first child arriving later this year," she said.
