It was a bad night for reality TV veterans after Geordie Shore star Ricci Guarnaccio and Lauren Goodger from The Only Way is Essex were voted off Celebrity Big Brother.

The pair fell at the penultimate hurdle in tonight's double eviction, leaving six housemates to battle it out for victory in Friday's grand finale.

And there were awkward moments between them on the couch with host Emma Willis when they discussed their on-off "show-mance" after leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Their departure leaves boxer Audley Harrison, Benefits Street star "White" Dee Kelly, former B*Witched singer Edele Lynch, Hollywood actor Gary Busey, Gogglebox star George Gilbey and Strictly Come Dancing's James Jordan in with a chance of winning.

Describing his feelings, Guarnaccio said: "I fell for Lauren as soon as we walked in. I got on with her really, really, really well."

He said the pair "clicked", but that while there was lots of flirting between them on some nights, during the day she would distance herself from him.

He said: "I didn't know which way to take it ... it was hard to read."

Goodger was booed by the crowd when she said Guarnaccio was a "wicked guy" and that she would always be friends with him, but said she felt under pressure and "very cornered", and that he would only talk with her after he had a drink.

Guarnaccio also defended fellow housemate Jordan, saying he was simply "mischievous" and that people had got him wrong.

And he described 70-year-old actor Busey, who has rubbed many of the housemates up the wrong way and left Lynch in tears after being rude to her, as "unbelievable" when speaking with him one-on-one, but very different in group situations.

Guarnaccio also suggested there had been a few "games" going on with it getting so close to the final, singling out boxer Harrison for doing things to get noticed.

He said: "Don't get me wrong, I think he's a lovely bloke and that, but he copied James the other night playing daft games, taking all the things off. I think obviously he just cooks and then he goes to bed on a night...

"During the day obviously he's thinking, 'it's coming up to nomination time, it's coming up to eviction time', he needs to be seen doing something on camera. So I thought, 'you've blatantly done this to get a bit of screen time'."

Goodger disagreed, saying Harrison was "very caring, very honest, very calm".

Despite being voted off, Guarnaccio said he would not change a thing about his experience in the house, despite "every day" being hard.

Guarnaccio and Goodger's departure follows that of b oxing promoter Kellie Maloney, who was formerly known as Frank before undergoing hormone therapy shortly before the show started, and American reality TV star Stephanie Pratt, who were voted out in another double eviction last Friday.

They joined former Gladiator David McIntosh, US actor Leslie Jordan and reality television personality Angelique "Frenchy" Morgan in leaving the Channel 5 show.
