Model Nadia Forde will fight through her grief today at her best friend's wedding.
Nadia (26) has counted Debbie O'Leary as her closest friend for the last five years and she was determined to make it to Malaga as she weds rugby player Peter Stringer today.
Nadia's mother Berenice Paolozzi lost her cancer battle on Saturday night and a spokesperson for the reality star said that she was "by her mother's side" during her last moments.
Nadia and her brother Stephen were raised by their grandmother when her parents split up when she was aged seven. Since then they had limited contact - but they were reconciled last summer after the model learned her mother was getting treatment in London for lymphoma cancer.
It has been reported that her family support her decision to see Debbie, who flew more than 9,000 miles to support her during her stint in the I'm A Celebrity jungle in Australia, on her big day.
The pair first became close when the top model began dating Leinster and Ireland rugby star Luke Fitzgerald before splitting 2011.
Nadia will return to Dublin in time for Thursday when her mother will be buried in Clontarf.
Stringer and O'Leary have been dating for seven years.
