The tennis-loving Kate Middleton told a coach today that she is trying to teach Prince George the game - but he "only wants to whack the ball".

Kate, who is pregnant with her third child and has been battling morning sickness, made a public appearance today in the UK dressed for action and sporting a big smile.

The mother-of-two wore black Monreal London ‘tuxedo’ tracksuit bottoms, worth around €250, a black jersey, and white Nike Air VaporMax trainers, worth around €193.

She even took part in a gentle children's tennis training session.

Kate, who is now in her second trimester, has been stepping back into the limelight after suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum - a severe form of morning sickness.

The royal baby is due in April.

"I used to play a lot of tennis but I'm a bit unfit now," she told children at the event in London.

Kate was keen to garner some tips for her son Prince George and asked what kind of stuff he should be doing.

"He is interested in tennis but being four, he just wants to whack the ball," she told her audience.

Kate seemed in good spirits as she chatted with Konta and watched some on-court sessions.
