He's one of the most famous actors in the world, but George Clooney hasn't forgotten where he came from.
The Oscar-winner brought his wife of one year, human rights lawyer Amal, to his hometown of Augusta in Kentucky, for a family reunion.
They spent their whistle stop trip to the South visiting his old school, Augusta High School, where he played a game of basketball and dined at Caprioni's on the River. Fans of the Gravity star documented their small town activities on social media, with one lucky fan who nabbed a series of photos, praising Amal.
"Amal is so friendly and nice," she captioned a photo of the pair.
They later posed for photos at the Augusta Pub and stopped by Magee's Bakery before enjoying a private family function.
Bakery owner Russsell Dickson said the star pops in once a year during a visit home to get his favourite sweet treat, the Transparent Tart.
"They were fun as a couple," he told Us Weekly. "'They ordered the Transparent, that’s his thing, he loves the Transparent.
"His family has been a customer for years, so I kind of half grew up with him always hanging around the bakery. He stops in maybe once a year or so."
