Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner reportedly enjoyed a nice Christmas together, despite announcing plans to divorce in June.
The former couple separated just a day after its tenth wedding anniversary on 30 June, but the actors have continued to live under the same roof for the sake of their three children, and, for the first Christmas since their estrangement, Ben, 43, and Jennifer took daughters Violet, 10 and Seraphina, seven, and son Samuel, three, to a private, members-only ski resort in Big Sky, Montana.
"They had a nice Christmas," a source told People Magazine. "Jen and Ben seem happy to be on vacation. They both enjoy the privacy of Montana."
The family was joined by relatives at the resort when they arrived on 21 December, according to the insider, and the children spent much of their time running around playing while their parents relaxed.
Jennifer, also 43, reportedly stayed in a separate bedroom within the same property as Ben, replicating the set-up they allegedly have at home since announcing the end of their marriage.
The stars seem to be in little hurry to finalise their divorce though, as another source told the outlet: "They don't seem in a rush to figure out the divorce details and will deal with it in the new year."
However, previous reports suggest talk of a reconciliation have been dismissed.
"They are working with a professional because there are emotions involved and they want to make this transition as easy as possible for their family," a family source tells the publication.
"They are working together and are keeping it amicable. This is something they have been working on for over a year, and they continue to be strong unit."
