Former Bond girl Gemma Arterton goes public with new boyfriend - and he's an RTE star
Former Bond girl Gemma Arterton and Irish actor Rory Keenan have gone public with their relationship.
The 32-year-old British actress made her first official appearance by her boyfriend's side at Wednesday night's press night of Long Day's Journey Into Night in London, in which her new beau stars.
Keenan (37) is one of Ireland's fastest rising stars and he is currently starring on the small screen in RTE's Striking Out, playing Eric Dunbar, the sleazy lawyer who was caught cheating on ex fiancée, played by Amy Huberman.
Independent.ie Style can reveal the couple have been dating for nearly one year and Gemma has been making quiet trips to Dublin since last summer, having been spotted at a number of gigs and one friend's wedding last year.
Gemma has been dividing her time between London and Dublin in recent months, both down to her budding relationship with Keenan and her recent role in period movie Vita And Virginia, which filmed here last September.
Despite her high profile career, she has always kept her relationships relatively private. She was previously married to businessman Stefano Catelli for three years before splitting in 2013 and she dated assistant director Franklin Ohanessian for two years before ending it in October 2016.
Meanwhile, Keenan previously dated his co-star Huberman back in the day, years before she even met husband Brian O'Driscoll.
"Amy and Rory used to date many years ago, when she was about 21, and they went out for about six months before they both moved on," a source revealed last year when the show first aired and was beginning to gather steam.
"It probably made filming a bit easier as she already knew him, but there was no awkwardness there whatsoever as it was so long ago."
