Eva Longoria 'still floating' after lavish Mexico wedding to Jose Baston
Newlywed Eva Longoria is "still floating" on air after exchanging vows with her fiancé Jose 'Pepe' Baston in Mexico on Saturday.
The happy couple tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony at a private residence in the lakeside town of Valle de Bravo, near Mexico City, in front of around 200 guests, including Ricky Martin, Mario Lopez, Melanie Griffith, and David and Victoria Beckham.
The party featured a live band and fireworks as the group danced the night away, and the bride took to Instagram.com on Sunday to share her joy with fans.
"In our garden, surrounded by a small gathering of people we love, Pepe and I tied the knot!" she wrote beside a photo of their wedding rings and their place cards, which featured the actress' new married name, Eva Baston.
She added, "#TalkAboutBlessed #ImStillFloating #OmgMyFeetHurt (sic)".
Eva also revealed how she was spending her first morning as Mrs. Baston - relaxing in the sun with best pal Victoria, who is said to have designed the Latin beauty's sleeveless white wedding gown.
"Morning after foot attire..." she captioned a snap of their feet, clad in furry grey Ugg boot slippers, as they lay on sun loungers overlooking the water. "Me and VB relaxing by the lake #YesIGotHerToWearUggs (sic)".
Meanwhile, actor-turned-TV personality Mario Lopez has shared a series of photos from the wedding weekend on social media.
"Congrats to my girl @EvaLongoria & Pepe!", he exclaimed beside a photo of himself and his wife Courtney posing with the newlyweds at their reception. "Amazing weekend & honored to have been here. So happy for you. Love you kid".
"The bride to be was radiant all weekend... @EvaLongoria," he captioned another photo of the close friends, which appeared to have been taken at a pre-wedding event.
In other snaps, Mario also joked about his "drinkin buddy" David Beckham, and praised actress Melanie Griffith for her outfit, adding, "My girl @MelanieGriffith was muy caliente (very hot) in her red dress..."
Previous reports also suggested Katy Perry and Penelope Cruz would be among the attendees at the destination wedding, but a large group picture of all the guests posted by Mario on Twitter did not feature the stars.
Eva and Jose's nuptials had initially been expected to take place in the Mexican coastal resort of Acapulco, but an insider tells People.com the location was switched to Valle de Bravo at late notice for security reasons, and they ended up marrying at the lakeside home of Emilio Azcarraga, the CEO of Spanish-language TV network Televisa, the company for which the groom is an executive.
The couple became engaged in December during a vacation in Dubai, where 47-year-old Jose presented his love with a ruby ring. They began dating in late 2013.
The marriage is the 41-year-old actress' third after failed unions to actor Tyler Christopher and basketball star Tony Parker.
