Emma Stone corrects boyfriend on slightly sexist comment

Notoriously private couple Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield came head-to-head when Garfield described sewing as a 'feminine' activity.

The comment arose in response to a child's question at a press conference. The actor, who plays Peter Parker in the Spiderman films, was asked "How did Spiderman get his costume?" by a young fan.

He replied that Spiderman "sewed it, he took some sewing classes ... it's kind of a feminine thing to do, but he made a very masculine costume."

Co-star and girlfriend Emma Stone interrupted the actor, asking "It's feminine how?", which prompted catcalls from the crowd.

Garfield backtracked, explaining he meant that "femininity is more about delicacy ... and precision", adding "we all have feminine in us", causing Jaime Foxx to exclaim "Not me! I'm extremely macho!" to laughs from the audience.
