EastEnders' 'bad boy' Jay Brown is about to have his drug addiction exposed when Honey Mitchell discovers a packet of white powder in her flat.

Honey (Emma Barton) is stunned when she finds the drug belonging to Jay, the adopted son of her partner Billy.

Viewers have watched Brown, played by Jamie Borthwick, turn to drugs to cope with life after being placed on the Sex Offenders Register for having a relationship with an underage schoolgirl.

Unable to get a job and ostracised by his family, he turned to Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons) to set him up as drug-dealer, but has found himself in trouble after sampling too much of his own product.

Ben Mitchell, played by Harry Reid, recently confronted Brown about his habit and urged him to stop, as did adoptive dad Billy, played by Perry Fenwick.

The scenes will air on August 22.
